U sjeni Boeingova štrajka 33.000 mehaničara dešavao se i štrajk mehaničara u Textron Aviationu, vlasniku Cessne i Beechcrafta. 5000 mehaničara štrajka od 23.9. Nakon skoro mjesec dana štrajka stranke su konačno postigle sporazum i kupile si petogodišnji socijalni mir.
